New To Me -> PeakD Feature: Create A Collection of Posts

I am constantly learning new things about Hive and the dApps which I use daily to both create and consume content. Today, I was going to write a post on PeakD when I noticed the "Create A Collection of Posts" option.

So I decided to click on that option to see what it was all about and was then greeted with this popup:

Naturally, I clicked on "Confirm" because how will I know what Curated Content Collection is if I don't enable the option. This also makes me question why we should have to enable this as an option. What is it about curated collections that makes it not a default setting? If you know the answer please chime in the comments. Once clicking the "Confirm" button this is what popped up next:

Which made me even more confused. What does this mean? Luckily, I noticed the "How to create a Collection?" button in the upper right corner. So, I clicked and this is what popped up:

This was actually quite helpful. But I still have questions like:

• Is this for my own content that was created as a series?
• Is this for content from other creators on Hive?
• Can this be used for older content or is this for new content only?
• How does this collection fit into the rewards system?

As I was pondering these questions I noticed the blue "Info?" button at the top center. I hovered my mouse over it and saw this:

Oh, the Curated Content Collections is a community. Ok, I'm glad I saw that info. So, now I know I can go to the Curated Content Collections Community to see for myself how others use this PeakD posting option. I'll bet most of my questions will be answered there. I'm going to take the time to learn more and will share what I discover. The constant learning process is one of the things I really enjoy about Hive.
