In the seemingly never ending search for journals in my studio that have not be used to their full potential, I found this small pocket journal. The only way to show just how small it is compared to other journals was to place it on top of yesterday's Cherry Tree Journal. It's small.
I don't remember where this came from. It might have been an event. A yellow journal is not a color I would have chosen for myself. I looked to see if there were any marking to give me a clue to its origins. All I could find with the word Moleskine. Which tells me it's one of those highly sought after brand journals. IYKYK
I didn't have a purpose for it until I was going through an entrepreneur course. One of our tasks was to create a "Dump Book" which was where we were supposed to dump all of our business challenges. The goal was to get them out of our head so we could examine them and either leave them on the pages or possibly see solutions in what was written down. I wrote in it for about 8 days and then stopped. I remember a client project taking priority which meant I did not have time to finish the course.
What I did do was gain an appreciation that little book. It must have been the time it spent in my hands which made me warm up to its potential. I could appreciate that it was small and compact and easy to reach for. I have not continued to use it as a Dump Book, but I have on occasion scribbled something down.
I don't have plans for this journal, but I do like it now. The color doesn't bother me anymore. I now think this journal is a bright cheery color.
