Hi! It is my first time posting on OnChainArt and here is a piece that I made after seeing a painting time lapse that really inspired me. I want to capture the feeling of seeing the sunset on the top of a hill or a mountain as the night sky approaches, the shivering cold air and the vastness of our universe.
Here is the process on how I made the piece:
first I draw a lineart of a wolf. I was first debating if there is any animal that I can use other than the wolf but the presence of this animal is so powerful, I was captured by it's charm.
I then added a background color for my painting. I added a darker shade of blue with a greyish red on the side bleding it with my airbrush tool. I also added a white highlight just because I can.
Next is I added the color blue, orange and yellow to make my sky. I once again blended the colors together using my trusty airbrush tool.
I then added the rocks using the color black. I, first, wanted to use brown for this one but the next part ultimately change this step.
I drawn a silhouette of a person and colored it black. And, since it would be weird that a shadow standing there while the ground is in light, I decided to also make the rocks black which definitely makes the piece more interesting.
Next is I added the moon by adding a yellow with a lighter tint. I erased some parts to make a gradation and it was amazing.
Finally, I added the smaller details like the starts and birds. I tried making them as small and simple as possible just to make sure that they are not eating as much attention as possible so they would not take away the attention of the viewer from the focal point of the piece. I hand drawn each details to match it to my liking and That is how I made this piece of art.
Thank you for reading until the end and I hope you liked it! That is all for me now.
