Hi! I`m back again for another drawing practice that I did. This time, I've decided to combine the two lesson that I'm studying, Anime lineart and Painting. Let us now beging on how I did it.
First of all, I started with a quick sketch of the character that I want to draw. I want to do a character who's quite feminine yet sharp looking. I also what to draw her hand covering her mouth.
I then draw the lineart on a seperate layer. I what to make the lines as thin as possible, only thickening the lines at where line meets. I can say that I still need to work on my lineart since it is still too messy.
I then move on to color. I first placed the base color. I what to practice my complimentary color so I keep on switching the drawing into grayscale to see if the color in my work is still right.
I then added the shadows and highlights. added variations of red and yellow on the skin, Red and orange on the hain and blue and purple on the clothes.
I then began the blending process. I also added additional highlights on the eyes to make it pop more and make it the focal point of the image.
Lastly, I adjusted the hue and saturation of the image and that is the final product. Looking back, I should have drawn the mouth since I think I put the hands too far from the face. I can also see someproportional mistakes but I am still happy with my progress. If you know something that I should study to improve my art skills, feel free to comment but that's all for me now!
