These photos are of the Tapajós River, a tributary that is on the right bank of the Amazon River, running through 2 states: Mato Grosso and Pará.
Being close to the city of Santarém, the river gets its name as a way of honoring the Tapajós Indians, there is a lot of spirituality linked to the river, this belief survives to this day in modern times.
There is the transport of people, cars and trucks, as shown in the photos, by ferries, which connect the city of Monte Alegre to Santarém, for example, but there are several other connections.
Why? Some cities do not have much structure, so some basic services such as banks and ATMs are lacking. So the most developed city (Santarém) is where the resources are, so people need to move around, taking the ferry to get to the city.
A beautiful river, a daily life different from the big city, a lot of beauty and exchange of knowledge, of history. This place is amazing with its bush style, mild nature and completely different routines from many of us, allocated amidst the concrete of cities.

Ficando próximo à cidade de Santarém, o rio recebe esse nome como uma forma de homenagear os índios tapajós, existe muita espiritualidade ligada ao rio, essa crença sobrevive até hoje nos tempos modernos.

Um rio lindo, um cotidiano diferente da cidade grande, muita beleza e troca de conhecimento, de história. Este lugar é incrível com seu jeito de mato, natureza branda e rotinas completamente diferentes de muitos de nós, alocados em meio ao concreto das cidades.
