Camel - is Desert animal that have been domesticated by human from thousands of years ago. They are a Herbivore - means they eat plants and vegetables.

Camels are also called the 'ship of the dessert ', People used them for transport in the long distances of the dessert. carrying heavy loads. They are a peaceful, discipline and very tame animals. They can stay longer for months without drinking water at all.

Bactrian Camel

There are two types of Camel

Dromedary Camel - It has one humps. It is also called the Arabian camel. They live in the Middle east, West asia and North africa. It can weigh about 880 - 1,325 lbs (400 - 600 kg) and can be tall as 6.5 feet (2 meter) in shoulder height

Bactrian Camels - It has two humps. They live mostly in the east asia and central asia. They are slightly larger than Dromedary camel, They weigh about 1,320 - 2,200 lbs (600 - 1,000 kg)and can be tall as 6 feet (1.8 meter) in shoulder height.
