It is a very dull and cold spring.

This is reality, not what the TV says, no pick a side, no need to send me money, guns, rockets or bombs. In fact, no drones either, thanks.
8 years I have been here and in them 8 years April has always been nice, warm, sunshine, but not this year.
I planted seeds early as I always have, and then we had a foot of snow, frost, cold, and looking out the window this morning I can confirm, the weather is miserable as hell.

I would take a picture for you, but who wants to see dull skies, not me, but such is life.
As a species we are indeed a strange breed, politicians bang on about carbon neutral, tax us for it, then drop bombs, send in tanks, and the damage is more than meets the eyes.
The pollution in the sky here is real, the lack of sunshine too. I dare say it will have major implications regarding the food chain.
Most of what I do now is farm, but this year I already know the results will not be good.
I think the best success will be window food, tomatoes and the like, not that I eat them but all the same, if I am hungry enough I will.

How many missiles does it take to make the weather bad, as many as are being dropped next-door to me.
The war is not even taking place in my country, it is 50 minutes away, over a border - but the ecological damage is real, there will be no abundance of food this year, at this rate, and as much as I can afford to ride it out, I doubt some of my neighbors can. They rely on the money from the fields, something I have never done, never put all your eggs in 1 basket and all.

I have offered my wife and my daughter a trip to the UK, to get them somewhere safe, they both refused.
So I thought maybe get them to Zakopane, at least there it is more like a holiday, and again they refused, they want to stay with me, something I am grateful about, and no, I am not going to force them to do anything against their will.

War pollution.

"How does war damage the environment?"

They have been bombing the oil supplies in the Ukraine, "The mayor of Okhtyrka Pavlo Kuzmenko reported that the bomb hit an oil depot warehouse situated within the city limits."

It is what it is, it is what it is like, I am expecting a pretty miserable summer, a considerably lot less food to grow, because war pigs are war pigs.
We will ride it out, see it through, catch you on the flip-side.

You have to be thankful for what you have, and 1 thing I do have is a loyal family, and that will do for me, in it together, not had to move, not running away.
What will be will be anyway.

I have never liked or respected politicians, and this whole thing now backs up my opinion more than ever. If they want a fight, they should fight it, if they want to drop bombs, they should make them, they should make the plane, they should drop them, they should be in the tank too.

If I have to pick a side, it is easy to choose, no not Ukraine, no not Russia, it is the side of the people, the innocent being bombed, being displaced, you will never find me on the side of a politician, any of them.

There you go, my daily dose of reality, hope to be back doing motorbike posts soon, I wish/hope.
Nice to have loyal people around me, it is all any of us can hope for.

Have a superb day, we shall try, but it is looking bloody miserable outside.
