I know people like a black and white picture, pick a side and run with it and all.
But reality is not a TV show.
I spent 1 hour last night on the phone to the only other (that I know of) English guy here in my town, where I reside.
He was robbed by Ukrainian gypsies. These are the things we are not supposed to talk about are they not? The flip side of 4 million people arriving, there is always going to be an element of bad people, a tiny percentage, but all the same, they exist.
It is this part of the equation people do not want to think about, this part of society that have sent the local crime rate soaring.
It only takes a few bad one's to ruin the crowd, just look at politicians for proof.
As some of you know I have been here 8 years, I chose to come here, I was in Spain before, I even had a dream last night that I was still there.
I lived in a little village near Huércal Overa.
Lovely town, nice weather, but very much strange to my way of thinking, Siesta and all, shops closed at 12 noon, reopen at 5pm.
I had a beautiful house there, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, aircon.
Mountain view too, but the place had been over built, I have never seen so many brand new apartments and houses with nobody in them in my life.
Thailand had a fare share of that too, but nothing compares to Spain.
With all this talk of "we must take in Ukrainians" logic dictates, (sorry for emotional people) but all the same logic dictates they should go to Spain.
When there are millions and that is no joke, millions of empty apartments and a country that looks, in my view, under populated, I think it would be an ideal place.
Someone will get triggered no matter what I say here, they always do, but we need a logical solution to an over population problem.
Every day another 10 to 15,000 people are coming over the border.
My town made for 19,780 people according to a source people do not trust so I will mention it not, now houses over 300,000 people.
I get it, I truly do, the news says the Ukraine every day and we all have to jump, we do help, we have, but how many can we take?
Maybe it because we are near the border, maybe that is why so many are here, they are safe but still close to home.
I know some people with 5 people they have taken in for free, the government is of no help, full stop.
My own country, the UK virtue signals that it will pay people to house the people, but only 2 months ago it was saying stay 6 feet from friends, wear a mask and no you can not visit your nanny that is close to deaths door in hospital. Which is it now, can we see Nan or is it just a Ukrainian?
But all of a sudden the rona is forgotten, along with all the insane rules, and yes, you can take in a family from a non-EU, non agreement country???????????
You will have to excuse me for thinking this is all just a tad hypocritical.
I feel like all politicians are laughing at us all, no matter who you are, they seem to be having a good giggle at us.
Maybe you have never been to Spain, maybe never seen the empty towns, the empty cities, so here you go.
In that show, if you can find the entire show, they picked their own brand new empty house to sleep in.
The airport too was sold at a massive loss, it never opened, the Chinese bought it.
These are the realities we are supposed to forget, take no notice of, because.
I nearly bought that airport, but I did not fancy taking it apart, so I bought a farm instead.
So there you go, another dose of real life, real logic, but in a world of no logic applied, what more can I say.
