Every social network has some un-written etiquette. These are not compulsory but these are few moral obligations that will guarantee your success. So, here I am not going to chart out any set of rules or guidelines like the amazing tutorials of @ilyastarar (which is all very technical stuff :P)

BUT

I have a request to you all.

And Yes I might not sound so humble :)

But here it goes...

Since @steemit is such a platform which provides an opportunity to gain some financial benefit therefore, mostly people join it in a rush to gain monetary benefit as quickly as possible, but it does not mean that this is the only purpose.

It is a free blog site where you can display your talent. Not everyone can be a good writer that is why you do not have to be a writer to be successful blogger.

What can you post?

paintings
photographs
images related to your job/work
hobbies (tips and ideas)
teaching tips
how to guide kids at home?
pets
make up
video games

You name it and you can post about it. Just let your imagination run free.

YES the trick is to choose the tags wisely.

And coming to my "Not So Humble Request" aka un-written Etiquette:

Do not spam someone's blogs for upvotes and resteems. "If I like it I will do it."
Of course ask your friends but then again spamming is not such an advisable way.
Interact with other, i.e. Comment on their posts to let them know how you feel.
Such social sites demand a lot of PATIENCE. You will not get RICH or POPULAR in a week.
The TRICK is to keep publishing QUALITY CONTENT and interacting with people of your interest.
Quality Content can only be created if you put some thinking and effort into it.
