¡Hola, familia Hive!

ENGLISH VERSION

Hello, Hive family! This is your friend shell975@shell975 on another TBT Thursday. Today, I'm remembering the first date I had with my husband at the beginning of our relationship.

Looking back on those days, as our friendship grew stronger, we could only see each other a few times and for short periods because we lived very far apart. We barely saw each other during vacations and school breaks.

We always went out with my sister, my cousins, and our friends, but after we decided to take the step into a romantic relationship, that first date came up. This time, it would be a special occasion just for us, without the rest of the group. And it truly was an incredible moment.

Since we were in Guantánamo, which is my hometown, I chose the café—a very well-known one in that area called Cafetería Fénix. Yes, like that bird from the stories that rises from the ashes.

The place is beautiful, and on that first visit, we enjoyed delicious ice cream, pizzas, and dessert. It was early in the afternoon. I had already heard about the place; they had opened recently, but they quickly gained fame for their service and delicious dishes.

We had a great, fun afternoon together. After leaving Fénix, we went to Parque Martí, sat down to talk and relax for a while, and finally went back to my mom's house.

It was charming, and every moment I could spend with Joc made me realize that he was definitely the person I wanted to keep having those dreamy moments with. That was part of the beginning of the journey that led us to the marriage we have today, thanks to God. That's why I treasure that beautiful day.

And so I close my entry for the TBT Thursday Contest, "One Photo, One Story." I invite you to participate too, and I want to end by thanking lanzjoseg@lanzjoseg and everyone who makes this space possible, allowing us to relive those incredible days that remain in our memories and captured in a photo.
