¡Hola, familia Hive!

The Secret of the DrakonWolf Lineage

__It's too late, the moment has come, Diana. Understand that there is no way to prevent it.
__Shut up once and for all!! I don't want to hear anything else. Get out of my sight!
__And wait for the night to pass calmly? No way. You are not safe at home, nor would you be if you thought of escaping; nowhere is safe. It's not the city, for God's sake, listen to me this time... it's... it's in them... in one of them... it was my seed. We have to stop him. It can only be tonight.
__They are my babies. At least you thought of that, Byron. No matter what you say, maybe... maybe nothing will happen and everything will remain normal...

The doorbell rang, and upon insisting, it was met with silence. Byron and Diana Drakon had been a happy marriage until the moment Mary Simpons appeared and unleashed the truth that changed everyone's lives, especially that of the twins Aaron and Andrew Drakon, revealing the dark side of their father's lineage.

Byron came from a family of comfortable social standing. He was the seventh child of the eight that his recently widowed father had, a man who had suffered more than one loss and was widowed for the fifth time, not counting the disappearance of his first love, with whom he had Derek, his firstborn, the fruit of a youthful love, so his arrival had not been planned but was well received by the Drakons. An ancient story tormented that lineage for generations, a tale they heard since childhood and which, according to their father, was far from being a myth. Just as their ancestors related, in ancient times an eminent evil brought the abyss to the formerly called DrakonWolf.

They told of the curse that came upon reaching the age of majority for the seventh son of a seventh son, an event that coincided with a full moon after the summer solstice, turning the unfortunate number seven of the family seed into a werewolf. Claws sprouted from hands and feet, body hair emerged with speed and abundance, the chin deformed, lengthening and giving way to thinner jaws, teeth became sharp, and rough fangs gleamed among them; the transformation lasted less than a quarter of an hour, and upon culminating, the hunting instinct allowed them to hear the hiding place of their prey through long, agile ears. The Drakon family not only became victims of this evil but also trained as hunters of their own blood, exterminating at birth all those who constituted true Wolves.

Upon marrying Diana Treiman, Byron was already the father of five children. All except Lauren and Luis were from his first wife; these twins came from an affair he contained within his marriage, committing adultery with his wife's best friend, an act that prompted her to drive drunk and heartbroken, causing the accident that produced her tragic death. Many were his encounters with prostitutes and waitresses, wishing to feel like the greatest cheater in the world, drowning in the evil he caused to the deceased Sarah... Until the moment he fell in love again.

Diana, without a doubt, managed to strip his life of the heavy burden of guilt, and she, who at that time was the social worker in charge of helping Byron with the care of his children, ended up becoming his new wife and the mother of the little ones, also conceiving Aaron and Andrew. With these, there were already six from the seed of the seventh Drakon, so Byron told Diana about the curse. They set out to prevent the appearance of the new seventh by all means, allowing a vasectomy on him. The years passed, and happiness overflowed. Problems seemed to lose importance in their lives. Everything was rosy... everything until Mary returned to town with a teenage girl who, according to her confession, was his daughter, from one of his many encounters at the village bar.

Desperation and fear echoed in the home. And on the morning of the twins' eighteenth birthday, the parents were heard shouting, arguing, sobbing. The bitter fate would fall on one of their children, and they would have to put an end to him. They remembered how both at birth were placed in the incubator with little bands that distinguished the first twin from the second, but they had managed to remove them from their little hands while they slept, making it impossible to assure with true certainty which one corresponded to whom, so at that moment there was no way to know which one was the DrakonWolf. Once again, the doorbell rang.

I'll go open the door for our guests Byron mentioned, passing his hands over his head and lowering his gaze.
I'll catch up with you in a moment Diana managed to say, still tearful__ Oh heavens, the children, how will they know all this?__ she exclaimed pleadingly__ don't tell them anything, please, let's wait and see how they are at the party.
Byron looked at her doubtfully but nodded and headed to the entrance.

The day went by, and the house was crowded with familiar faces of friends and family. At 9:00 pm, Aaron approached his parents, mentioning a surprise party at the Smiths' pool where the high school soccer team kids and many other students would toast for them. The moon showed its round face, and Diana examined her son for a few moments.

Where is your brother? she asked.
Ah, Mom, he's with Jared. His head hurt a little, but I think he's better now, so...
Hurt, you say she raised her voice, alarmed. I'm going to call your father she stammered you go get Andrew; he is forbidden from going to the party.
But Mom, he's fine now.
Do it now!
And the scream left terror on Aaron's face, who hurried out. In the backyard, next to the car, Andrew, Jared, and a girl were joking and laughing out loud. The former saw his brother coming and found his confused expression amusing.
Dude, you look like hell he commented while placing a hand on Aaron's shoulder.
Everyone laughed in unison. Everyone except Aaron, who pushed his brother away a bit.
We have to go, Mom went crazy he spoke in a low voice to his twin for a few minutes.
What?! She forbade it, you say!? Andrew shouted, furious. His cell phone rang, and on the screen, he saw it was his father. We can go now he smiled halfway and turned off the phone.
Diana called her children, sent countless messages, in vain, there were no answers. She looked hopelessly at Byron, and he hugged her.
To the Smiths' house he said, and both ran in search of the car.

Being at the party, one could perceive the rebellious and jovial atmosphere; the reddish plastic cups contained alcoholic drinks, and loud music permeated the surroundings. Making her way among the many young people in the patio, Diana walked asking everyone she stumbled upon, and meanwhile, inside the Smiths' house, Byron did not stop searching. Diana found Jared and asked him about the twins. And he, with breath that stank of alcohol and losing his balance a bit, managed to answer Andrew went crazy, came out growling, and ran to the swamp, and Aaron with his long nails followed him, I think they were fake, ma'am hahahaha, he was walking weird Then she knew. She held onto Byron, who was already by her side, and with a lost gaze, she exhaled through her teeth_ both of them are__ he opened his eyes wide and seemed to turn pale...

In the bowels of the forest, near the swamp, the twins took on a new shape in the light of the full moon. The Wolf genes did not invade only one but expanded equally in them. They ran, resembling beasts. Each with the appearance of a werewolf, and in the midst of the gloom of the night, they merged with each other, starting with the nearby extremities and joining monstrously until they formed a gigantic creature... the true DrakonWolf. And this time, more powerful than any other had ever been, the monster tore apart a lost hare and howled while, with its sharp ears, it heard the loud noise of the party a few kilometers away. It licked its lips upon perceiving the many victims that its sense of smell exuded; its shining eyes dilated, and it began to run in the direction its senses showed it... The hour of the hunt was beginning!!....... ☺️
