Steemit is gaining traction in more and more countries, many are posting in their native langauges which is great. Great for those able to read it, sadly I, like many can't comprehend reading Korean or Indonesian. We might sometimes go in for the heck of it and use Google translate to get some slightly broken text without the full meaning, even then we are unable to take part in discussion.
There really isn't a problem right now, not that many posts are written in other than English now. However it will be in a short while, as more and more people form over the world are joining. We don't want browsing on Steemit to get tedious and confusing, do we?
There should be some language detection integrated into Steemit, so that the users can choose what langages they want to be able to see, tick a few boxes for the languages they are comfortable with.
The language detection bot should perhaps detect photography posts that have very few lines of text, translate the title and still post them for everyone to see.
People don't upvote things they can't understand anyway so I think this semi-segregation is the only way to do it.
Post your thoughts and solutions in the comments, maybe someone will read them and maybe, if we're lucky then even implement them to Steemit.
