Introduction

Finally, got a new game mode for Gods Unchained called Chaos Constructed. I am going to share my thoughts on this as well as share a deck I played in this mode.

I know I haven't posted Gods Unchained in a while but that was mainly due to kind of getting frustrated with the "fun" of the game. I was still playing on the weekends but maybe I should've just taken a break instead but it's ok I can still at least earn some god token and packs over the weekend.

Thoughts On Chaos Constructed

Chaos Constructed is a mode where we can pick a god and use cards from any god. This mode doesn't count for play to earn which is fine in my opinion. This mode makes decks more interesting as you are able to build a deck with any card. You would mainly choose the god for the god power to compliment the type of deck you are building.

I played a few games of Chaos Constructed and honestly, it seemed to me like Ranked on steroids. Control decks became even more unfun to play against and aggro decks became even more unfun to play against. I think it's still interesting I guess that we can play Olympian light with war and nether zombies with deception. There is probably also some interesting combos and strategies and possibly one hit ko turn decks or decks with infinite combo loops.

I think most people would get bored of this mode in a few weeks but let's see how it goes. I really thought they would make a draft mode or something as that would be more interesting to me as playing with what we are given and cards that we may not own will be more of a determinant of skill as opposed to the person with more cards and better cards. This would also possibly help people encourage to buy cards that they don't own but realize they like the card after using it. This doesn't mean I don't think there's skill in deck building but it's not the same when there isn't an equal access to all the cards especially the more expensive and meta cards.

Experimenting Almost Full Blitz Deck

I was trying to build an aggro deck that can hit face and have that blitz. Blitz was the main theme for this deck and you can see more than half the units have blitz or can attack on the first turn like Underbrush Boar and Barksworn Hunter. I actually tweaked this deck many times but this was the last version I went with but I still think it could be improved. The thing about being able to use any card that we own in building chaos constructed is that there's so many options which made it hard for me to decide which card I wanted to use.

I kind of had a near 50% win rate playing this deck if we don't include the previous versions where i lost a lot to see which cards were better to use. The main goal of this deck is to target the enemy god and win trades with the units to be able to aim at face more. I know there's a random sern the moderator but I wanted to try it out to help draw cards by healing my units after making trades with the opponent's cards. There's 2 Wrymbreaths in case of frontline units so it's a safe way to secure the win if opponent is low health.

Concluding Thoughts

Chaos Constructed is meh to me. It's a nice mode and probably great for the short-term but I don't think it'll be fun long-term. This mode is a miss for me. I can't wait for the next mode that comes into rotation and I really hope it's a draft mode.
