Deck Building Competition + Giveaway Winners! + Weekend Event Rewards
Introduction
There hasn't been much new news lately for GU but everyone's busy trying new decks and prepping for this weekend since they finally airdropped crafted legendaries. Today, I wanted to help share the deckbuilding competition Gods Unchained team is hosting. I also wanted to announce the giveaway winners from my last post as well as share my weekend event rewards.
Deckbuilding Competition
source GU Discord
I just want to bring this to your attention if you aren't active on GU discord. GU team is hosting a competition to build a deck. There's three categories Best Creative Win Conditions, Best Ally Synergies and Best Meme deck. I actually already created mine and I will be sharing it on my Monday post!
If you are a free to play player, I believe you can build the deck on gudecks.com. I also highly encourage you to participate as it's free to enter and if you win, you will get a 1 shiny pack, 3 booster packs and 5 crafting packs. These are awesome rewards for such a simple task but do put some effort in building a deck because I saw some awesome entries. Make sure to submit your entry on the twitter and follow the criteria as shown in the screenshot I took. You can find the twitter link here. Good luck all if you enter and I hope you win!
Giveaway Winners
As mentioned last week, I was giving away cards to those that commented with their discord ID so I can contact them for their IMX address. Sadly, only 4 people commented :P I hoped for more but oh well. I'm going to spin and give a card according to how I listed the cards in my last week's post. I will be contacting all the winners on discord shortly so if you see a DM from ShawnNFT#6737 don't worry I'm not a scammer. Also, I will consider doing more giveaways in the future every now and then to help give back to the community as well as create more engagement on Hive. Let's go!
Poison Dart Winner -
Fae Thornblade Winner -
Great Eyes Blessing Winner -
Chira, The Spiritspeaker Special Winner -
Honestly, I would feel bad if there was only one person that didn't win anything out of those that commented especially since it's our awesome kstreet who has kept the Gods Unchained community on Hive going. He reads all our posts and comments and upvotes them. I also don't think he gets anything out of it either and he definitely puts his time doing all this while also posting his own content so I think he deserves this prize.
My Weekend Rewards
I got 3 epic core packs, 2 rare mortal judgement pack and 1 epic mortal judgement pack. It was an okay weekend for me. I got 10 wins out of 18 battles! I also somehow got 5 Band of Wolf crafting packs. Let's see if I get anything good for this week. I'm still looking for Witherfingers from the core packs. As for mortal judgement, I'm still hoping to pull my first diamond legendary. Alright enough talking let's open these packs!
Epic Core Packs
Rare MJ Packs
Epic MJ Pack
Band of War Crafting Packs
Wow I got a gold single combat. It's not the best gold rare to get but a gold is a gold. I also got my first Odessa. I still didn't get Witherfingers and I would rather not spend the 1-2 dollars to buy a meteorite copy when I'm supposed to be able to get one for free playing the game. Out of the core set, I'm still missing 2 epics and 7 legendaries. You can see from the picture below the cards I am missing. Let's hope I get a Witherfingers, the missing core legendaries or a diamond legendary next week!
