Introduction

I'm back with my weekly post for Gods Unchained. I'm not trying new decks anymore for weekend ranked. The decks I'm making are too budget and not competitive enough. After carefully thinking about it with last weeks super bad performance as well as band of the wolf set rewards, I decided that I will just play my strongest deck for weekend ranked.

Now instead of sharing my weekend event deck, I will be sharing a daily grind deck that I will use to play for the whole week until weekend ranked. After that weekend ranked, I will come with a new daily grind deck and it will probably be more towards playing for fun since it doesn't matter as much if I lose in daily play to earn. The deck I want to share this week was inspired by KStreet with his curious wisp deck. In addition to that, I kept playing against other people that used it and tried to cheese me with it so I decided to make my own version of this deck.

My Deck & Analysis

I played a mid-range nature deck. The key card to this deck is Curious Wisp. Basically this card can be infinitely cycled back into the deck and gain +1/1 stats each time. So the whole point of this deck is to play a super long game and deck your opponent out. It's probably ideal to have 2 Winter's Bounty but I only own one so I had to make do with what I have. I actually purchased two Fir Tree's Fury for trying this deck out since I think it's a good card and I didn't have any. I think the only ways to stop Curious Wisp is to steal it with Cutthroat Insight or obliterate it with The Dearly Departed and then using another creature to transform The Dearly Departed like Reflection Elementalist.

You can find the link to the decklist here.

1-2 mana
I have Vanguard Axewoman for early game trades with opponent's monsters. Curious Wisp is the star of the show; it basically never dies as it keeps getting added to the deck. Blazing Talisman was to stop early aggro since it would give opponent's creatures burn if they hit my god. Canopy Barrage was for creature removal and it's also good at getting rid of hidden cards like Feral Shapeshifter. Underbrush Boar was for early game pressure and trading; this card is super busted and I'm happy I got them very cheap. Iron-tooth Goblin was for relic removal.

3-5 mana
Dagan, The Dawn Wolf was for trading with opponent's monsters. Lightning strike was for removing strong creatures. Celestial Slag was to increase my handsize by synergizing with Curios Wisp or other 1 mana creatures for some solid early game card advantage. Barksworn Hunter was for trading and creature removal. I teched Druid of The Cycle into this deck to deal with those annoying anubian land of the dead decks. Frenzied Ritual was to remove strong high health monsters or just strong monsters in general while also giving me a card which helped gain card advantage. Fir Tree's Fury was for clearing a lot of low health creatures. This card is super good as it takes too long sometimes to get to 6 mana for that board clear from The Hunt or Enchanted Vines so this card helps solve that problem. Pack Succession was used to trade but also sometimes can insta win with First Phoenix. The opponent surrenders to this card because it kept coming back alive. Valewaren is a good stats card that gives card advantage as well as stall the game a bit by healing god's health.

6-7 mana
I played Enchanted Vines and The Hunt for board clear. This is super crucial in taking down decks that try to put a bunch of monsters on the board. Winter's bounty was to stall the game by healing 20 health and usually aggro decks won't have enough damage once you use Winter's Bounty; it always feels good to use this card right when you're about to die and the opponent runs out of gas (cards) to finish you off. Photogenesis was to add more cards to my hand to maintain my card advanatage. I feel this card is super busted as you're getting 4 more cards for 1 mana since you can refresh 6 mana; it's basically like a pot of greed in Yu-gi-oh but on steroids.
