Canadian Maritime Painting

Hi Steem friends,

Today I'm sharing a photo that I took of a new painting that was put up in the lobby of the apartment building where I live. The building manager has such great taste in terms of how they've chosen to decorate the lobby, as well as several other parts of the building too. Although this isn't the newest apartment building in the world, it sure does have quite a bit of character and has a very "east coast" vibe. This painting - although I'm guessing that it's not original by any means - does a great job of capturing the Canadian maritime atmosphere.

If you ever get a chance to take a trip to Canada, I'd highly recommend that you do! Atlantic Canada is especially nice during the summer and fall months, with plenty of natural coastal sights and attractions. The beautiful scenery of the coast features many lighthouses, small rustic homes, and sailboats - just as this painting depicts!
