Good morning Steemers. It's 3 am in Florida and I can't sleep because I'm trying to figure out how in the hell a mediocre makeup tutorial generates over 7k dollars in less than 24 hours. It's basically saying, "Fuck all of the award winning post on Steemit that talk about real shit, lets up vote a "makeup tutorial" even though I don't even wear makeup. Look guys, I browse Steemit a good portion of the day and the articles are epic. Everything from Crypto currency news to skydiving off of 1200 ft antennas with a Go Pro. I've learned about the situation in Turkey via live feeds and I've been following people as they hitchhike across foreign lands; however, these topics don't get any votes. But yet, when I log on to see what's trending I see a makeup tutorial with a shit ton of votes and comments. I mean super duper ass kissing comments...from guys...who don't even wear makeup. Please...consider the substance of a topic before you give your vote. I would be pissed if I wrote an article on cold fusion and how it would change the world, or the struggles of living in a third world country, heck even a damn good article on Pokemon Go and how it will get these lazy ass kids from in front of the TV and out exploring again, only to not get one vote. Look, If you are going to up vote girls because you think they're cute that's cool, but at least up vote the meaningful topics that people put their hearts and souls into as well. Steemit deserves better than boob votes and bullshit. Keeping it real, compared to other makeup tutorials, the shit was barely average. I give her an A for effort and bravery...but she's no Michelle Phan. Sorry if I pissed anyone off but this needed to be said. There are hundreds that fell the same way. Thank You.
