My family recently went to the Harry Potter ride in Universal Studios in Hollywood California, USA. I was really impressed by the detail they put into the statues that line the entrance. The statues were so well done and the lighting added to the atmosphere of the attraction.
The statue had to be at least 7 foot tall and seemed to look down at all of us. Although I could not get close enough to touch it, it seemed to have the appearance of being made of brass. However, the attraction is only a few years old, so they did a great job of making it look aged beyond its actual years.
Of course one of the hardest things to portray in statues is clothing. They creators did an excellent job of showing the wrinkles in the statue’s robe. This is especially true for the outreached arm, which seemed to be reaching out to grab us!
