This view opens up if you look from the village of shepherds Yashpert along the Batura glacier towards the passage to the Passu valley. This way we have to go the day after tomorrow — we will try to go through the glacier back in another part of it.

Below, although a little difficult to understand, there is a glacier. It is covered with earth and stones, and the almost white strip in the center, so clearly visible from a height, is not visible from here, except if you have a higher view point. The slope of the mountain protrudes to the left, and the glacier — an icy river — like any river, flows around the obstacle. It bends and wraps around the rock, and we will soon pass there too. These were daytime views.

The sun gradually declining and the clouds floating across the sky make the view of the distant mountains more interesting and dramatic. And I don't mind, I like it better — the neighborhoods drowned in the shadows, and there are bright light spots-accents.

Here the evening falls, the sun gradually sets behind the high mountains that surround us, and its light no longer reaches all corners. This rock is in the shade, and next time it will see the sun tomorrow.

The snow-capped peak, towering over all this mountain splendor, which still catches the sunlight, our local gude Bayram calls Dastagir Sar.

Evening has arrived, it's time to go to camp and soon light our own little sun - flashlights.

If you are interested in reading how we came to the Batura glacier, about this trip through the mountains of Pakistan, then a complete list of posts from this series can be found, for example, at the end of this post.

It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
