Hello my new Steem friends. I am so excited to have been introduced to this wonderful vehicle by "Gregory Mannarino" whose blog I have followed for awhile on Youtube. Thank You Greg.
I am equally excited to introduce you to my Sharing and Caring Network. A place I hope where you will not only find helpful advice on how to deal with some of life's many challenges, but that you will comment and share ways you have found to cope. My first goal in joining Steemit is to become an available 'listener - a 'mentor' of sorts. I chose my account name 'Sharing and Caring" as it describes why I share my life experiences and my time with others - because I care.
The sharing portions will include (from time to time) What I learned yesterday...and in yesteryears - one offering per post.
If you see yourself in my history, I hope the lessons I've learned and will share with you in this series, will be helpful and timely and you will let me know your thoughts. Perhaps your input will open the door to future posts or ongoing dialogue, if appropriate.
I know that book learning is good (and I have some of that too), but the saying 'Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt' means so much more when you're looking for 'sage' advice
Life is filled with challenges, struggles, problems and questions. Maybe I can help - So here goes - my history.
I am a woman, wife, step-mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, neighbour and friend.
I've lived in a variety of settings - a farm, a small village, a small town, an island in the Atlantic, a number of large cities and now a rural senior's lifestyle community.
My homes have included a farm house, every type of apartment, a townhouse, a luxury condo, duplex, triplex, single family dwellings (large and small) and now a lovely mobile home.
My work took me from Ontario to Manitoba to Bermuda to Ontario and to British Columbia. Retirement brought me back to Ontario.
I've been employed as a waitress, assembly line worker, bank teller, legal secretary, finance company manager, business owner, Counselor in the correctional field and as a Salvation Army Pastor/Officer. Now I'm blissfully and busily retired.
I've been single, married, divorced, common-law, married, separated and back with the love of my life for the last 30 years.
In my life I've dealt with being picked on as a child (now referred to as bullied); abuse of alcohol and drugs, cancer and a variety of situations that could have led to a life destroyed.
From now on, my posts will bring to you lessons I learned that helped me cope and come through some of the more difficult parts of my life relatively unscathed. I've also decided as I focus on my life today that everyday I learn something new and I plan to share those lessons with you as well.
I hope I'm ready to truly Care for you as I share my life and respond to your questions and/or comments.
Good bye for now - see you again soon. Hopefully next time I'll be able to include photos - I've tried - steem.img; imagesafe.org; postimage.io with noluck. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful.
