Introduction

First of all, our project has been accepted by the @fundition team ! We are already really grateful for the support they're gonna show and give. A big thanks to @pennsif who helped us during all the process, who took the time answering all our questions, and for all his precious advices.

Secondly, concerning Twitch embedding (see the last weekly updates post), the Steemit team has merged @wehmoen's pull request, so the Twitch player is now also embedded on Steemit.
So once again, big thanks to @wehmoen for his work and a big thanks to the Steemit's development team, for their reactivity on merging it quickly.

A big thanks to all delegators, to all people coming on our Discord, to all the help we're getting, all the ideas we're being given.

1) New Fee compensation system

From now on, on any post made via @share2steem, if the fee taken by Share2Steem exceeds what we brought to you in terms of upvote value (@share2steem daily upvote, curation trails upvotes - classic, pool and sponsor), the difference will be reimbursed to you via @tipu. The compensation takes place when your post is older than 2 days.

If your post has already been upvoted by @tipu, then you will receive a tip from us (directly to your wallet - still using @tipu service).

But there's a little twist, to incentize everyone to join our trails (as joining the trails means more upvotes from Share2Steem, hence a smaller compensation to give out) :

If the user participates in no S2S trail, the amount of the compensation is lowered by 50%.
If the user participates in only one trail out of 2, the amount of the compensation is lowered by 25%.
If the user participates in both curation trails, there is no penalty, the user is fully compensated.

This feature is still experimental, there might be some fails, but we're fixing them as errors appear.

2) Achievements system

A system of achievements has been put in place, rewarding you with @tipu (upvotes or direct tips) when you reach a certain level of activity in these categories :

Posts made using the Share2Steem application,
Upvotes made on @share2steem posts,
Resteems of @share2steem posts,
Participation in the curation trails,
Delegating to @share2steem,
Bringing referrals to Share2Steem.

These are the same categories as the ones taken into account to calculate your leaderboard score (hence the value of the upvotes you will get from @share2steem and from the trails). So completing achievements will only give you a one-time reward but also long term rewards by increasing your S2S score.

A comment will be made on one of your posts - aged between 1 and 2 days - (like @steemitboard) and a page will soon be available on the website, displaying your current level in each category, your progression towards the next level and the rewards associated.

Same as the fee compensation, the feature is still in BETA, we're improving it and fixing bugs as we encounter them.

3) Medium added to our cross-posting service

Medium is now available for you to cross-post to Steem !

All formatting should be good, and your post should appear on Steemit the same way it appears on Medium. If not, please mention @algo.coder in the comments so I can come and take a look, see what went wrong. You can also notify us on Discord.

How does it work ?

It works the same way as the other social networks. You will have to link and verify your Medium account.
After that, when you post on Medium, use share2steem as one of the tags (in the tags section of Medium when you publish a post), it will be cross-posted to Steem and automatically formatted to respect the layout.

4) Reminder message system

An automatic commenting system has been put in place to remind people of the existence of Share2Steem. The comments are limited to :

Once every two hours on @share2steem side,
Once every month on the user's side.

People who signed up on Share2Steem but never used it and people not using it anymore will be "targeted" by the system, and the comment is accompanied by an upvote.

5) Discord server improvements

Channels have been rearranged, for a clearer view
Mods have been named : @aaronleang, @itharagaian and @joannewong. We would be happy to have at least one people per main time zone, in order to be able to answer any question about S2S functioning. For in depth support, @algo.coder is still the man.
A graphics material channel is now available. There you will find pictures, banners and animated gifs you can add to your posts if you want to promote S2S (ideal if you want to add your referral link, for example).
Coming soon, a detailed welcome section, with all relevant informations for newcomers, with @aaronleang help (thanks Aaron !).

6) Miscellaneous updates

"Daily Unique Authors" graph has been added in the Statistics section of the website. So you can now see not only how many posts are made daily but also the "real" number of users of the Share2Steem application. Idea by @onepercentbetter.
In the "Posts Made" table, in the Statistics section of the website, we added the value of the votes received from the Share2Steem's ecosystem (@share2steem daily upvote, @tipu fee compensations, classic curation trail, upvoting Pool, and the sponsor upvotes). Idea by @onepercentbetter.
In the "Social Networks" tab, the account name is now clickable and redirects you to the current step in account validation (To the verification if the account isn't verified, to the account management if the account is verified - same effect as the "Manage" button). Idea by @simplymike.
On the "Affiliates" page : a link to the Steemit's profile of the referral has been added and also the date of his last activity on Steem. Ideas by @onepercentbetter.
When cross-posting from Twitch, the tag "gaming" is added. Idea by @beavishoek.

Coming in the next few weeks

The order reflects the prioritization of the tasks, but not the time the updates will be made (as some don't take much time, whereas other can take much longer to be deployed).

1) Account creation system

The goal is to allow users to sign up directly on our website. It is a bit complex, as we want to delegate SP to the new users, but also allow the newcomer's sponsor to help us in this task by taking partially or fully the charge of the delegation.

An algorithmic delegation system will be put in place so it is scalable. A certain portion of our proprietary SP will constitute the SP delegation pool that will be distributed amongst all users that signed up through our site or other sites excepted Steemit (that already handles the delegation). Depending on their usage of the app and on their social network assessment (number of followers or this kind of metric that implies potential visibility for Steem), a score will be given to each account, that will be the base for calculating the delegation it will receive. The maximum delegation will be 15 SP (minus the sponsor's delegation).

2) Working on translations

With the recruitement of moderators for the Discord channel, we will be able to offer translations on our website, to identify the visitor's location and translate the website accordingly.

3) Working on a FAQ

We're currently working on a FAQ section, that will be put on our Discord server and on the website. We are also making some guides on Steemit (with the help of the moderators), and the links will appear on Discord, on the website and in the section "Useful Links" or all our Steemit's posts (a first Guide To Setup Share2Steem with Instagram by @AaronLeang has already been made).

4) Users' suggestions

And of course, as always, we will implement updates depending on users' suggestions and our own ideas as they come. We will also continue bug-tracking and fixing.

The ones that are already planned but not yet implemented:

Allow users to sponsor us with SBI and create a new item in the leaderboad score to make this sponsorship rewarded. Suggestion by @albatar.
Adding the possibility for users to add benefactors to their posts made via Share2Steem. Suggestion by @ericwilson.
Better statistics on Posts Made and on Affiliates. Suggestion by @onepercentbetter.
Fixing a bug on Twitch when the stream is published multiple times, because the stream is interrupted and started again. Bug-tracker @alucare.
Improving the Twitter integration of @musicoin. Suggestion by @lorenzopistolesi.
