Planting time:
October to February is the best time to plant rose saplings in Bangladesh.
Propagation:
Roses usually breed through seeds, cuttings, cocoon pens and eye pens. Seed breeding is used only for breeding or crop development programs. The main method of producing new trees is budding or eye pen, through which commercially cut flowers are produced. The eyes of the breed that is bred are conveniently placed on another rootstock. Indigenous plants play an important role in the vitality, productivity, flowering qualities, durability of shrubs, disease resistance and adaptation to soil and climate. The original cuttings (pencil shape) are made in late summer and planted in rows in the nursery at a distance of 25-30 cm. After about 6 months, these cuttings produce suitable shaped stems for budding. T-budding is mainly done on roses.
Cultivation of tub roses
Tub location:
The tub should be kept in an open, well-ventilated place so that it receives the morning sun and receives at least 7-8 hours of sunshine. It is best not to plant in the afternoon sun (especially in summer), as it will cause the flowers to turn pale. You have to keep an eye on the rose tree so that the light falls all around.Otherwise, the tree will grow only in the direction of light. For this, the tree with the tub has to be rotated from time to time. In order to protect the rose plant from the hot summer sun, it is better to keep the tub in the sun and shade periodically. Flowers can also be found for a long time.
Make the soil
Clay soil is not good for rose cultivation. Fertilizer soil for the tub should be prepared in such a way that the soil is quite loose and water does not stand. Make a mixture with 1 part loamy soil, 3 parts dung manure or compost, 1 part leaf rot manure, half part sand (white sand of the river is better) and mix a handful of mustard oil and a teaspoon of lime in it. Inches) should be left in the tub for a month. This one month is to turn the soil upside down with tub water. The soil mixture will be better. Many also get good results by using tea leaves used in soil mixtures. The broken pieces of bricks or earthenware pots should be spread in a few cm below the bottom of the tub in such a way that the soil of the tub rests on them. This will facilitate drainage of excess water.
