Happy Solstice Fellow Steemians
Last night was the longest of the year. We are just finely getting a bit of cold and snow. Not that -10 is even close to cold. Perfect out door temp.
Solstice celebration include tree decorating, Santa clause or similar figure giving gifts. Feast with family and friends. Gift giving. Even Death and rebirth. In this example it is about both the death of the old season and the birth of the new. But also about the death of old things in our lives and the rebirth in the new.
Shamans know that this process is not a one time of year thing. It is in fact ongoing as everything has its season. We are being born again, like the transition from winter into spring, each time we allow an old way of thinking leave our lives making the way for a new thought. It is that new thought that shapes our future. It was based on the experiences of the past dropping the parts we don't like and adding the parts we want.
We are in this sense. God the destroyer dropping the unacceptable of the past. God the preserver Living the present. God the Creator by envisioning the future we want. This is how our world is created. Especially the one we as individuals live. It is the sum of all those individual worlds that we see around us. Our common vision.
So in the creation of our individual world we need to remember that we are not alone. We share the common vision. Our thoughts, words and action effect all other visions as they interact with each other. It is that interaction we teach each other our personal vision of the world we live in.
We can see the things that we like and don't like in the visions projected. This looking into the past for what we see is the result of passed thoughts. In the present we formulate new thoughts based on what we see in the past. The current thought creates the future present. Where we do it again. Allowing the old season to die and the new to be born.
