Hi there, thank you for coming back to me.

Can I check my understanding:

  • ValuePlan is an umbrella fund to support marketing, promoting and outreach activities.
  • Accounts can apply for funding for direct costs of those activities, but not for the paid time of workers who are organising/facilitating etc.
  • Valueplan only supports projects which are for public benefit - projects which are for personal/private or business benefit are not supported.

Like crypticat@crypticat, I would like to see a detailed budget as part of each quarter's proposal, together with a reconciliation for the previous quarter showing actual expenditure/income against budget, with an explanation for variances.

I would also like to see expected outputs for each quarter and, as with budgets, a reconciliation of actual against target outputs, together with explanations for variances.

Some outputs that I would be interested in are:

  • how many participants at an event or activity.
  • how many new accounts opened.
  • how many of those accounts are still active after regular periods.

In my world (small business development in England, I think this may be the case for European Structural Funds as well) we would track accounts quarterly for two years - generally, two years is the threshold for survival.

It would also be good to have definitions of "active" - voting? posting? staked HP?

My other questions are:

  • how do accounts apply for funding?
  • are there any priorities or limitations (for example, maximum budgets) for funding
  • what are the criteria for applying?

Many thanks.
