Welcome @cious,
Well done for making it to Hive. I hope you are enjoying it.
Growing up, I thought life was a straight line, you study, you pass exams, you get a good job, and everything else falls into place. But life has its own script, and I’ve learned that my path isn’t as predictable as I once believed.
I thought this, too. I also thought I would have everything sorted out by the time I was twenty-one - everyone else seemed to know what they were doing - and I used to wonder what people did after they were thirty? lol.
Here I am much, much older, confronted with the same issues and still trying to make sense of it.
my mind has felt like a room filled with scattered clothes, books, and half finished projects. I walk into it every morning
What a great description.
People leave, sometimes gently, sometimes abruptly, and you’re left to pick up the pieces of yourself they carried
I was thinking this, even about Hive. There's a constant fluidity, people coming in, travelling alongside you, moving away again, sometimes gone forever, and hardly ever any way of knowing what's going on.
It’s about learning to live in the middle of the clutter, to breathe through it, and to trust that little by little, the pieces will come together ...
A lovely philosophy.
and still unfolding
And a lovely hopeful note to circle back to and close.
