Blunders tends to happen anytime but the way you deal with it defines who you are .
The ongoing African Cup Of Nation(Afcon) 2022 has been going smoothly with lot of entertainments, nevertheless there has been some notable negative events which I will be sharing.
MAURITANIA NATIONAL ANTHEM
It has been a custom in national football to always recite the national anthem of both teams before the match commence with the support of the technical crew(playing music), but reverse was the case when it comes to Mauritania players reciting their national anthem as there was failed attempt thrice by the technical crews . The players stood in disbelief and left with no choice but to sing without music, whereas there was no problem with their opponent (Gambia) national anthem. To worsen the case they lost the match by one goal to nil, goal scored by A. Jallow just ten minutes after the game has started.
MALI VS TUNISIA GAME ENDING IN CONFUSION
There was lots of dramas In this match as a results of poor officiation by Janny Sikazwe ,the referee of the match. He gave two disputable penalties, a questionable red card and two times ended the match before time. The game is supposed to end at 90th minutes with a maximum additional time of five minutes but he blew the final whistle at the 85th minutes which lead to the confused Tunisia officials protesting the error,it was later rectified and the game was returned to play, but again made another mistake by ending the match at the 89th minutes. This made the Tunisia team go crazy which led to Confederation Of Africa Football (CAF) official calming the game by saying the match will be re started to play for three minutes, however the Tunisia team refused to go back to play leading to the final whistle blew, meaning the game has officially ended by one goal to nil in favor of Mali. It was later discovered the referee was suffering from heat stroke and dehydration cause by the heat intensity. As an experience referee who participated at the world cup in Russian I believe he should have taken more control of the game.
