If I may, because I do notice this post about "failure" also has to do with art, do you think that all artists can inevitably succeed? How about, musicians? How about, any form of craft that has no practical application in society? The answer is, no. It can't happen. It could never happen just like, we couldn't all be doctors. The problem with art, music, and other forms of impractical creation, is that the market has an overabundance of this commodity. Hence, the commodity no longer holds a value like it once did in society. There is too much art and music out there. There are way too many artists for the rest of the world to support financially, especially when you consider the average person can barely afford to survive, much less buy his friend's artwork to put it onto the wall. Same for music. You could spend the rest of your life listening to a new band each hour of the day, I do mean good bands, and still not discover every good band out there in your lifetime. There is WAY too much abundance of art and music out there. Economically speaking, it is all worthless. This is why so many artists/musicians fail. Not because they suck but, because of money economics itself.
