Inverted Death Card Comes True

This was an interesting weekend full of nostalgia and letting go of items from the past. Mr. Dreamtree helped his mother remove her belongings from her sister's storage unit, which required them to look through everything and determine what was worth keeping and what wasn't worth keeping. This included a whole bunch of Larry Dreamtree's artwork from the past. Many of which he had completely forgotten about over the years. Pictured below are two of the drawings he decided to keep. His mother was finally willing to dematerialize and simplify her life. For far too long, she has lugged around useless crap from the past, like so many of us do. Seems the inverted Death Card came true for that day. Many things from the past had to be let go in order to manifest the new. Old baby shirts, wedding items, knick-knacks, newspaper clippings, biker magazines, various storage devices, holiday cards, letters, and you name it, it was probably among the refuse.

Old Artwork

Sorry for the oddness of this picture but, the paper that holds this drawing had been rolled up for eons and refused to lay flat. This is a prismacolor drawing Mr. Dreamtree did "only God knows when". It could of been high school, or early college years? It is dated 1998 so, it was more likely at the cusp of his college years. As we have stated before, Larry didn't do drugs of any kind back in those days. This "tiger" face looks pretty psychedelic, doesn't it? It is sure a lot better than some of his other artwork we found in storage, all of which was thrown away. We can't haul that shit around. Heck, we can barely tote around our survival gear.

We will share more of these old drawings as time pushes forward. Don't want to share them all at once, otherwise, we would run out of material again.

Much Love!

Lucy Sage Dreamtree
