Even after several years on Hive, I still visit almost every day. The rewards are small, but it's still nice to have numbers that reflect appreciation.
I want you to get started right, so I'll let you know that there are some "unwritten rules". There are some self-appointed guardians who will downvote your work, if you violate these rules.
We lose Hive members because they get angry when the watchers downvote their work for the reasons above. It's easily avoidable.
Other than that, the Hive experience is rather unique. For the most part, it is very positive and supportive. There are a few bad actors, but they usually burn themselves out and go elsewhere.
