Between work and personal journaling, I started to value the ability to backtrack to specific days. Briefer journal entries make it easier to find what I need.

When it comes to rambling, I do that separately. Those rambles are then summarized for the journal. Rambling is still important. But, my journal will have the Reader's Digest version.
