I think crypto will be a case like boiling a frog in which you slowly raise the temperature where the frog doesn't feel the temperature change until it's too late.
I think central authorities have hubris about their control over the financial world that they don't see their control eroding. And like they describe about bankruptcy, it happens slowly, then all at once. I think we will see a day in which the banks have suddenly cornered themselves, leaving crypto as the only reliable solution.
