I think what is more likely to happen is that children or grandchildren will move into the vacant homes. If they already owned a home, they'll ditch or rent the one of lesser value. Houses have more practical value.
Stocks, we all know they have been overvalued for years. On a related note, I think there is a medical bubble, all the medical jobs being propped up by a large lump demographic.
