I had to get breakfast. A good place to start would be to do an introductory post. Check the tag #introduceyourself out for a few examples, putting in a few of the things you like to do would help others to point out various communities to follow or look at.
Your comments on other peoples post in topics that you like will be noticed if they are sincere. A comment of nice post is not going to get anyone to look at your account where as a comment expressing something about the post you liked may get the individual or others to take a look at what you have.
To earn rewards, do not waste your votes on your own comments or your own content. Find people you like, follow them and when they post give them a vote. Depending on what front end you use you can adjust your vote weight, but being very new I would not drop below a 50% on the vote slider. You will find it difficult to initially find things and people so try to give out 15-20 full value votes a day.
If you use information or pictures from some other site on the internet and you do not own the copyrights to it, make damn sure you provide a link back to where you got it, even if it is a free to use site. After you have grown your account and have gained a reputation of documenting where your picture or your story came from people will have a tendency to overlook the missing link back.
Until you do get that reputation you will need to post where the image/story info was from or people will down vote you for plagiarism and or theft/fraud. You do not want to try that route at all.
It is not an easy road to travel, but with time and effort you may find you like Hive Block Chain for all it has to offer.
