On hive I use the 50/50 option. It does not bother me the 13 week power down, (I have yet to use it). With the 50/50 option it is like paying yourself first, then having half to spend and change into other things. i am doing the same on POB, 50/50 option. On hive the majority of that non-auto powered up hive is manually powered up with a small amount every now and then going to Hive Engine or to support other people.

If people left the auto-powered up hive/pob alone then they would have much higher curation rewards, but people don't see that, all they see is It's my money and I want it all now. There is no truth to the I need it to live on, to help my everyday expenses, because they had zero hive or pob before they started posting and were living just fine before Hive/Pob.

Leave the 50% auto powered up powered up and use the other 50% to play with.
