TEXT:‘And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.’ Philippians 4:8 TLBDid you know that your MIND is the engine of your Body(vehicle)? It needs to be serviced, cleaned, tested, upgraded, repaired, replaced and lot's more. What you think about affects your facial expression and the movement of your body. When we remember David's battle with Goliath, it must be noted that David RAN towards Goliath, that is not something you do in fear or with uncertainty. We runtowards a goal or target only when we see a windowof opportunity and we want to take advantage of it quickly, so we RUN. This shows us that David had some upgrade on his mind that every other person didn't have. What you know or do not know will determine your boldness or fear respectively. Now the bible says WRITE THE VISION.... so that whomever reads it will RUN... This means even though a vision is from the Spirit how the MIND interpretes it will determine the response(RUNNING).So what are the things we must consider to replace or repair when servicing this great engine called outMIND. From the text above, here are the things-1) TRUE- Assumption is the HIV of the mind, when we say HIV it simply means Human Ignorance Virus. Never assume, always confirm for yourself orsimply take your mind off it and never let things alter or distort your orientation and attitude. Truth is actually not facts because Truth is based on what God's word says.2) GOOD- Replace bad thoughts about your future with deliberate good thoughts, bad thoughts about people with deliberate good thoughts because thereis something good about even the most wicked person you know. We must never allow thoughts to go and come into our minds as they like. But we must work on being intentional to put what we want to think about.3) RIGHT- It is only the word of God that can Judge between right and wrong approach to things. We must discipline ourselves to think in the RIGHT direction only and that means it must be in the direction of the WORD.4) PURE: Avoid corrupt conversations or media, because it can affect your prayer life, your conscience and your spirit. Keep your mind PURE towards everyone and concerning things, then your prayers will work faster. God is close to those who are pure in heart, they are the ones who can hear/see from God without interfering with what he is saying.5) LOVELY: Keep your mind on things that make your heart feel love for people, places and things. It is the right way to live. Love is the way to LIFE. You can not get into OFFENSE when your mind thinks only on what is Lovely. When you begin to truly havepure Love for certain thing or persons, you will naturally not speak against them even if found wrong but rather pray and intercede. When you havefound love without yourself, you would want to share it with everyone without discrimination.We are commanded to walk in Love but the walk starts from our minds.6) PRAISE WORTHY.- Many people have never given a single testimony in their lives because they feel there is nothing praise worthy in their lives. Well, according to God's word in several verses it shows us that it is our duty to FIND what we are to PRAISE about. A mind full of PRAISES will never be Down or Depressed because such Mind will always see reasons to give God glory.Mark 12:30 shows us we must Love God with our MIND, So this is why we must learn to be Mechanics of our Minds so the Love will not wax Cold, Because a cold engine can not start when it's needed. IN 2018 LET US THINK ON THESE THINGS,then we will SPEAK of these things and then finally SEE THESE THINGS DAILY IN OUR LIVES.
