This is a throwback post for last year's December 31st, a day before New Year. This also took place after the day I drifted at Putrajaya for private session. I actually wanted to go to this event for RM200, whole day and including water truck to make the road wet, perfect for drifting.
The weather was great, no rain, not sunny, just gloomy and not really that hot. In case you were wondering why didn't I join this event, because the organizer told me it is full, but he told me that I can still come in case there is a slot which because maybe some people won't be able to join that day, even they paid beforehand. I couldn't take the risk of buying tyres, getting my petrol tank full and hiring my friend for tyre transportation service, just to reach this event with a 50/50 chance to join. What if it really gets full? All my effort and money will go to waste, so I went to my private drifting session a day before this happened.
Then I came to this HAKO drift event the next day, it happens to be NOT FULL, perhaps I'll give a rough estimation of 70% of drivers only showed up that day, meaning I'm eligible to join. Unfortunately I already spent my budget on 6 sets of tyres and also the transportation service, no more budget for this event.
At least I get to see the other drifters doing some actions on the track, and also have the chance to see someone else's car for some reference. Like this car, the interior is so simple and clean, just RPM gauge without speedometer or any dash that shows unnecessary information. Definitely not road legal like this, this is a pure track drift car.
Got a chance to see the heart of their machines too, but I didn't stay too long there though. The event finished at about 4pm plus, then goes the photographing session. I was so eager to join this one, hopefully I have a chance to join these events one day... Well, I think I should hope more on my car to be ready / okay by then.
