Hello, Friends!
These wonderful flowers were presented to me by my husband on our wedding anniversary of 10 years.

According to American researchers Lawrence & Scott-Montcrieff, the color of dahlias is determined by as many as 48 genes - eight sets of six genes B, Y, I, A, H and N, which specify different degrees of manifestation of red, yellow, cream and purple pigments - a couple of hundred thousand combinations. Unfortunately, there is no blue pigment in this palette - in order to obtain blue dahlias, they will have to be genetically modified using biotechnology.
