A failed preliminary sketch of a girl sitting.
You didn't think I always got it right, did you?
I would like to redraw this drawing from the beginning.
-- What do you think, Google?
-- The room gradually sinks into the evening coolness, leaving the bright daylight somewhere outside the window. The shadow envelops the walls, creating a special space where time seems to slow down its usual course. At such moments, the figure of a person sitting near the curtain becomes part of the general calm. It does not move, but the inner tension betrays the concentration of thought. The gaze is directed into the emptiness of the room, but the thoughts reach much further, beyond this evening. Anticipation of the coming day usually deprives sleep, forcing you to scroll through possible scenarios of events in your head again and again.
Tomorrow will bring changes that cannot be predicted or canceled. This knowledge makes the heart beat a little faster, and the silence around makes it painful and deep. The darkness of the room now works as a protective shield, allowing you to hide from unnecessary eyes and be alone with your hopes or anxieties. Every detail of the interior in the semi-darkness loses its clear contours, turning into blurred silhouettes. Only the line of the window remains a noticeable landmark, reminding of the existence of the outside world, which is also frozen in anticipation of dawn.
The imagination paints pictures of the future, where joy is intertwined with the unknown. A person in the shadows realizes his helplessness before the passage of time, because no one is able to accelerate or stop the onset of morning. The hours of waiting become a kind of test of will and endurance. They require acceptance of any ending that fate prepares. The shadows on the walls seem to be living companions who silently share this state of uncertainty. They do not give answers, but create an atmosphere of mystery that is so suitable for nightly reflections.
When the night reaches its highest point, anxiety will begin to slowly recede, giving way to calm determination. The darkness will dissipate, the curtain will let in the first timid rays of the sun, and the shadow will disappear. Then it will be time to act, to face new challenges and make decisions. For now, all that remains is to sit still, listen to the silence of your own breathing, and wait for the future to become the present.
