Hey all! 👋
This post is in regards to my submission of my hardworking team's project Moto-Fix, that we created in the recent BuiltWithDelhi Hackathon.
This project addresses the common issue that every vehicle-owner faces in any vehicular emergency. Maybe your car needs its fuel? Maybe it's tires have popped? Maybe the brakes have given up?
(Quoting from the previous post)
“With Moto-Fix, you can take a quick search and find your nearest Mechanics ready to get the job done! Our quality checks ensures that you get the best user-experience and the best man for the job. What's more? We have our own customized chat-bot that will answer all your vehicle-related queries at once. We also plan to implement an e-commerce shop that lists vehicle products directly from these mechanics!”
👉 We as a team plan to empower the tertiary sector of our nation, which often gets its profit cut due to middlemen and convulated processes just to get an online presence, and this project is our first step in that direction!
Here's some details related to our team and the project:
oTeam Name: Trial Period
oTeam Leader: Shiv Kumar Tiwari
oTeam Members: Kulbhushan Shandilaya, Harsh Vardhan Singh, Sintu Mishra
oGithub Repo: https://github.com/Sh1vT/carhelp
oDevfolio Project Link: https://devfolio.co/projects/motofix-79fb
oVideo recording of Working Demo: Video Demo.
oWebsite link: The project is an android application and can only be installed locally for now. Please refer to github repo for build files.
oExplanation of idea and project’s working: The android app uses Flutter for frontend and Dart with Cloud Firestore for backend and database. Authentication is done using Firebase Auth. A centralized and scalable database has a list of all the mechanics with their geological points, and are sorted in the user's app's list based on the nearest ones. The chatbot's model/agent is trained on Google's DialogFlow platform. Various pub.dev packages have been used for their convenient features. A detailed readme.md is available at the github repository link!
P.S. There is a mechanic app also which allows mechanic list themselves on to the Cloud FireStore Database. With a slight tint of Open Innovation we have created another section that let mechanics create intents and responses that help us, as developer to improve our app further.
