So yesterday, clicmaster@clicmaster was asking about why it took so long for institutional investors to get involved in cryptocurrency. I was about to respond to his comment, but realized it was time for the new leomarkettalk@leomarkettalk post.

Well, I will carry over the discussion to this post:

QUESTION BY @CLICMASTER

The question that still haunts my head is, why did the SEC, the stock market and all these games of rapacious wolves take so long to enter the crypto market?

MY RESPONSE

Some tested the waters, in particular JP Morgan Chase.

Jamie Dimon made statements causing fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. He even threatened to fire any employee that would suggest investment in crypto.

Then, in what they thought was a stealth move, JP Morgan Chase purchased a large amount of Bitcoin during a dip in the price action. This was a little over a year ago, before the current astronomical increase in crypto investments by institutional investors.

Now JP Morgan Chase is creating its own crypto coin, the JPM Coin, while still degrading Bitcoin.

These venture capitalists know what they are doing.
