never had heard of this movie, but I am glad that I found it! I guess it because it just came out this year! It teaches many valuable lessons when it comes to relationships. I was inspired to review this movie thanks to @enginewitty's post What's Your Favorite Christmas Movie
The story revolves around a lazy, selfish young man who has been spoiled by his entitled lifestyle. His father decides to teach him a lesson by exiling him to a distant village which is known for its divisiveness and generational feuds. He must perform an almost impossible task to be able to return to his accustomed style of living.
The young man learns the importance of caring for others and has a great effect on the populace of the village.
As far as the film goes the animation is superior and the story line fantastic! I would suggest this for family viewing this holiday. We can all learn a great many life lessons from this film.
As I watched this movie, I thought of all the tribalism, selfishness and anger that is so prevalent in our world today. It is a sad state of affairs. It seems that simple civility has pretty much become a value no longer in existence. Then I thought about my participation.
A simple act of kindness always sparks another...
How true. To just be kind at times, I believe, does more for the one doing the kindness than the recipient. At least, that has always been my personal experience. I, at times, can be extremely self-centered and dismissive of others. I am always working at not being so.
The original story was furnished by Sergio Pablos who also directed this film. He also worked on Despicable Me
