What is often asked is how to get there from Taipei.
There is really no need to go on with a travel agency although this is what people do.
I prefer to go by myself.
From Tapei, take the rail train from the Taipei Main Station.
Look how comfortable this is.
It takes about half and hour so you can just relax and enjoy yourself in the train.
Look how scenic the journey is.
Here we are crossing over to the other side of the river.
Lots of people get off here as they too are heading to Shifen district.

Get onto the train and this train runs only every half an hour.
While waiting for the train, you can take some photos around the area.
It is just a small countryside.
Lots of people get off here as we have entered into the Shifen district.
Cross the street and take the bus to take you to the central district of Shifen.
Some tourists prefer to stay in this town district for a couple of days.
I didn't.
I just spent a day here.
