When I came to Taipei, the people told me that I can go to the Elephant Mountain and hike up the trail to see the skyline of Taipei downtown.
They call this Elephant mountain but the name is officially known as the
the Xiangshan Hiking Trail.
It is about an easy one hour hike to get up there.
Along the way you can see Taipei downtown.
Actually it is quite nice to view the downtown area from here.
Today, when I came, it was a bit cloudy but still you can get a good view.
There are lots of picnic area along the hiking route.
You can always take a rest sitting on the big rocks too.
This is a public government park.
You can actually get a panormaic view of Taipei.
You can even view the Downtown towel up here.
This is quite nice.
Go for the Mountain hike.
You can get there using the metro subway station.
Head out to Xiangshan station.
This is the last stop in the red line.
Take Exit 2.
There is a map there that takes you to the hike.
Thats how easy it is to find this.
