During the second world War, a young American soldier just before he will be shipped to Europe, sat down in a Library and picked a book. He found that the margins of the book had interesting notes from the previous owner of the book who was a lady called Jolly. He flipped to the front cover of the book and saw the mailing address of the young lady. He quickly sent her a letter requesting that they should meet and talk about the book.
Soon after he was shipped to Europe and for the next 13 months, they kept sending letters to each other and soon they fell in love 馃槏. The young soldier told the lady that he is on his way back to California and that she should meet him at the harbor. The lady told him that she is excited to see him and that she would wear a pink rose dress so he would know that she was the one since they haven't seen each other before.
On the day the soldier arrived, he got down the boat and walked down and saw a tall lady that looked like a movie star and his breath was taken away, he thought she was the lady but he quickly realized that this beautiful woman that passed him wasn't wearing a pink rose dress.
When he came down to earth from his fantasies he saw a woman in her late forties wearing a pink rose dress (馃槀) and he being a man of integrity walked up to her and saluted her and asked her which restaurant they would go for the date.
The woman who happened to be the mysterious lady's mother said to him "son, the young lady that walked past you told me to wear this dress and that if you pass the test of keeping to your word even when you are disappointed that I should tell you to meet her at so and so restaurant". These two people went on to marry because the young soldier passed the test of accepting the lady whom he hasn't seen.

Sometimes we say, when things are going well, when I am healed, when I get that job, when when and when then I will have a good attitude. The thing about conditional trust is that we always get disappointed. What if things are not going the way we planned or expected?
Are you mature enough to accept God's answers even though they're not what you are hoping for? Faith is obeying God even when it doesn't make sense. Faith does not make sense. We will not always see the ways God is doing the things He has prepared for us.
It's not our responsibility to figure out how God will bless us, our responsibility is in being obedient through the process. God does not prepare the blessings for us, rather He prepares us for what He prepared for us.
Abraham had to wait for 20 years before he got the promise of a son. Soon afterwards God tested his trust and asked him to sacrifice his son. And Abraham showed that he had unconditional trust and when God saw that He was excited to bring other blessings.
The three Hebrew Children didn't fail in their trust on God. Even in the fire they still trusted the salvation of God.
Quit focusing on the problems and focus on what the Lord is doing. Don't listen to the waves of life but listen to the voice of the Lord saying come hither.
Take the pressure off yourself. Let God fulfill His promises upon your life. Stop comparing yourself with others. Quit basing your Christianity upon material things. God is more interested in our eternity than our present. The God you serve is an eternal God and He has eternity to fulfill His promises.
Be positive about life, have an attitude of faith, praise God in and out of trouble. Know that God is good all the time.
When you have unconditional trust you can't be defeated. Sometimes good opportunities can be enemies of better opportunities. Not every good opportunity is for you. Always ask God's will. Acknowledge Him in all you do. One day you will pray like I did few months ago, "LORD thank you that you didn't answer that prayer, thank you that it didn't work out".
Hold tightly what God is doing in your life but hold loosely how it is going to happen.
