Africa is in my blood. I was born in #Zimbabwe, living in #SouthAfrica and have over the past few years been awarded the opportunity to travel to remove villages in Southern Africa to visit communities to help improve agricultural practices.

Through these #travel experiences and the people that were with me, I have formed incredible lifelong friendships. Recently I was invited to #Botswana to attend the #wedding of two of my friends where I was dressed in traditional attire with the help from the families. My mom had made me a skirt out with a #shweshwe (African fabric made here) trim and a mask to match.

The #blanket is very much a part of the culture and even though it was 45C/113F in the shade that day and I thought I would die of heatstroke, the blanket had the opposite effect. When the wind blew, the dripping sweat immediately cooled me down.

Marriage is held in high regards in this #country and it was touching to be apart of this union.
