Come sempre vi aspetto su www.serialfiller.org.
Grazie dell'attenzione!

This is the future link to the post that I am inviting you to read in the coming days at www.serialfiller.org and which is previewed here

As usual, today I am bringing you in a new Preview of a post that in a few days or weeks you will see In the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, for the past few months, I have decided to give you constantly, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see at www.serialfiller.org.

The result is a series that is light but has a high dramatic contribution. Mike's life, daltronde, is as tragic as few others albeit sweetened by unthinkable earnings, crazy spending (remember the tiger on a leash?), dizzying women, alcohol, drugs and whatever obscenities, luxuries you can imagine.
Mike Tyson was not a decent person and he was not a dreamer maniacally obsessed with the sport he loved as, for example the late Kobe Bryant might have been (here is his moving tribute in Dear Basketball). Tyson was a bullied, very unfortunate, poor child who, somewhat by chance, crossed paths with boxing, which, from adolescence onward, would unleash all his animal instincts and make him the overwhelming monster that everyone, at some point, loved and knew.

As mentioned a couple of times before, Tyson came from the New York ghetto, was a chubby and shy child, and also not too bright (suffice it to say that at one point the principal of his school is shown pointing out, somewhat hastily and in a disparaging tone, to Tyson's mother that she had a stupid and "handicapped" son as they used to say) who was bullied constantly. He had a passion for birds, particularly pigeons which were the cause of his first fistfight.
He kept bad company, engaged in petty theft, never studied and never worked. He was in and out of jail and soon ended up there for a long time. It was there that he discovered boxing and it was there that a white man gave him a real chance by introducing him to a boxing legend, albeit a declining one, introducing him to what would become a putative father for Tyson (he who never had a real father). I am talking about Cus D'Amato, played worthily by an unrecognizable Harvey Keitel). It will be Cus who will take him in, give him a home, adopt him, make him feel normal and special for the first time. At the same time, it will be Cus who will make Mike the ferocious beast we know, steering him toward a spiral of violence that would mark Tyson's entire adult life.
As Mike climbed the popularity charts and was on his way to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion ever, a series of mournings washed over him.
First his friend by the skin of his teeth, killed before his eyes while they were still teenagers by a policeman in what was the classic bogeyman hunt of those years.
Then his mother, who died while he was "in the arms" of his new father, and finally Cus, who died just as Mike was dominating the boxing world and had found a firm, reckless equilibrium that seemed to keep him out of trouble.
It would not be the first and it would not be the last bereavement, just think of when, a few years later, one of Mike's daughters would die on the treadmill while at home.
A tragic and mocking fate that seemed to inflict devastating pricks on Mike whenever someone seemed to offer him genuine love, his friend first, his mother then, his putative father again and finally a little innocent daughter.
But Mike Tyson, besides becoming an icon, was also a man of low intelligence, zero culture, prevailing instincts.
It would be those, along with the mass of sharks that would surround him, that would determine his fate that would make him, bitterly, famous.
