E' troppo rischioso.

Riesce a dissuaderlo. Riesce a renderlo, momentaneamente, innocuo.

Lord Corlys sorride sicuro.

This is the future link to the post that I am inviting you to read in the coming days at www.serialfiller.org and which is previewed here

As usual, today I am bringing you in a new Preview of an article that in a few days or weeks you will see In the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, for the past few months, I have decided to give you constantly, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see at www.serialfiller.org.

Daemon, contrary to what was ordered in the previous installment, and 6 months earlier, by his brother, has not returned to his Valley but has occupied, assisted by his loyal gold cloaks, Dragonstone, moving in with his dragon and Missarya (Sonya Mizuno), without taking his own wife with him.
In an act of total rebellion, Daemon crosses the line between rebellion and frontal attack on the crown.
Daemon lets it be known, via a message, that he is ready to marry Missarya, that he has stolen a dragon egg, the one from Baelon, the one that Rhaenira had symbolically dedicated to her little brother who died during Aemma's birth, and that he is expecting a child, of a dragon, from Missarya.
It is a declaration, not even too veiled, of war.
Daemon is ready to bring down his own avenging fura against King's Landing and usurp the throne occupied by his brother Viserys. An army is with him, a second dragon is about to respond to his commands.
Daemon may become the greatest threat in the realm.
So much for free cities.
The small council is in turmoil.
The king wants to leave for Dragonstone.
Otto Hightower convinces him not to go.
It is too risky.
He will go in his stead.
We return, a couple of years after we went, television-wise, to that fascinating and gloomy place, that time in the company of Daenarys and Jon Snow.
Dragonstone is there, and the images that accompany us are spectacular.

Daemon is fierce. He is holding the dragon egg. At his side is his bride-to-be. Behind him a handful of golden capes. On the castle an adult dragon watches over him.
Otto is visibly worried, perhaps even frightened, as are all the bystanders.
Daemon does not flinch and confirms everything he had written in the letter.
The egg is his. Missarya will be his bride. Dragonstone is his new home. The realm is in danger.
Diplomacy and Otto's threats will not help.
The confrontation is on.
Swords are drawn.
Everything is falling apart until something imposing rises from beneath the clouds.
Impetuous comes Rhaenira riding her dragon.
The heir to the throne confronts his uncle. A dialogue in Valirian comes between us and them.
The skirmish from before seems a distant memory.
Their verbal duel is much more intriguing and tense.
Rhaenira responds to her uncle's concrete threats with even more solid threats.
She manages to dissuade him. She manages to render him, momentarily, harmless.
He saves his skin, selling it dearly. The dragon egg returns to her hands. She will return to King's Landing where waiting for her will be her father and a disconcerting surprise.

Viserys will have harsh words for Rhaenira but will appreciate the courage of her initiative.
The king, taking advantage of his daughter's moment of emotional and psychological inferiority, will inform her that he has made up his mind. A new queen will sit at his side.
He lets it be known that that choice will be dictated solely and exclusively by the desire to give Westeros what Westeros is asking for that is stability and a strong realm.
Laena is about to become queen, only 12 years old, and in the future she may give the king an heir, a male child who will sweep away Rhaenira's dreams of glory, just as, years earlier, were swept away the dreams of glory of Laena's mother, Rhaenis, defeated by a world of men who would never allow a woman to become mistress of the seven kingdoms.
All that remains is to report this to the Small Council.
Velarion and Targaryen will be bound in eternity after this "combine."
Not everything, however, is as it seems.
Not in Westeros, it wasn't in Game of Thrones, it doesn't seem to be in House of The Dragon.
Viserys informs everyone that by spring a wedding will take place.
His own.
Lord Corlys smiles confidently. The future is also his and his household's.
But Viserys surprises everyone.
He will marry a young woman but it will not be Laena.
His hand will entwine Alicent Hightower's.
The surprise is general.
For Rhaenira and Corlys the surprise turns to dismay.
The episode ends with this theatrical but well-prepared twist since Aemma's death.
There is, however, time for one last twist, the one that, as Game of Thrones had well accustomed us to, could prepare us for an imminent war.
Lord Corlys is sitting by a fireplace fire.
