Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.

Definire ed incasellare Bang Bang Baby è un azzardo al quale non voglio prestarmi.
Di certo, possiamo dire che Di Stefano è riuscito a far riaffiorare ricordi oramai sopiti di un tempo che fu, attraverso immagini, pubblicità. loghi, giochi iconici ma lontanissimi nel tempo.
Dalla Tassoni alla Big Bubble, passando per il flipper e le insegne luminose e proseguendo con decine e decine di riferimenti che hanno saputo far tornare viva nella mente l'immagine di quegli anni.
Era un'epoca tremendamente diversa dalla nostra, un'era dove i cellulari non ancora avevano affollato le nostre tasche e l'iperconnessione era sostituita da chiacchierate occhi negli occhi al bar o in piazzetta.
L'autore ci riporta nella Milano degli anni '80, ancora grigia e frenetica e lontana dalla città cosmopolita divenuta negli ultimi anni.
Alice, la protagonista, è una ragazzina senza padre, derisa e quasi bullizzata dai compagni, in cerca di una ragione per vivere dignitosamente un'età cosi difficile, specie per chi la trascorre senza un padre accanto.
Il compianto genitore è stato ucciso, qualche anno prima, al luna park mentre lei sedeva sulla sedia di una delle attrazioni del luogo.
Santo Maria Barone, interpretato da Adriano Giannini, è morto sotto i colpi della mala (come avrebbero detto gli 883), lui che ne era un degno rappresentante.
La famiglia Barone, infatti, capitanata da donna Lina, interpretata benissimo da Dora Romano (E' Stata La Mano di Dio, L'Amica Geniale), è una potete famiglia calabrese che siede al tavolo delle ndrine che stanno mettendo le mani in pasta in affari meneghini, in particolar modo nel cosiddetto "affare Malpensa".
Un omicidio, però, quello del politico calabrese di stanza a Milano, Rocco Ferraù, agiterà le acque e metterà tutto in discussione.
E qui arriva la metamorfosi di Alice.

Veniamo a conoscere l'identità dell'assassino e con nostra somma sorpresa scopriamo che dietro quel delitto misterioso si cela proprio il defunto Santo Barone, tornato dal mondo dei morti per avviare un vortice di violenza, sospetti e crimine incessante.
Alice ritroverà il padre innescando una serie di eventi che la vedrà trasformarsi da ragazzina timida e bullizzata a vera criminale. La fusione fra una figura Tarantiniana e quella di una classica mafiosa italiana è riuscitissima, facendo emergere il ritratto di una ragazza astuta, senza troppi scrupoli, determinata e folle quanto basta.
Alice sarà la star, il voice over, il detonatore di una storia che non si fermerà mai, coadiuvata anche da una colonna sonora da 10 e lode.

Were you looking for a unique series?

To my surprise, Amazon Prime Video has churned out an all-Italian TV series to watch from start to finish with great gusto.
It is Bang Bang Baby and it had been since the days of Anna by Niccolò Ammaniti (review here) that I had not been captivated by such a high-impact homegrown novelty.
Credit goes to Amazon for believing in it but especially to Andrea Di Stefano who has taken an autobiographical novel by Marisa Merico, titled L'untoccabile, and made it into a series with counter-cojones.
For Andrea Di Stefano, after so much television in the eyes of the heart, and 2 films that could be called Hollywood comes, finally, a big hit at home.

To define and peg Bang Bang Baby is a gamble to which I do not want to lend myself.
Certainly, we can say that Di Stefano has succeeded in reviving long-dormant memories of a time gone by, through images, advertisements. logos, iconic but distant in time games.
From the Tassoni to the Big Bubble, passing through pinball machines and illuminated signs and continuing with dozens and dozens of references that managed to bring back vividly in the mind the image of those years.
It was a tremendously different era from our own, an era where cell phones had not yet crowded our pockets and hyperconnection was replaced by eye-to-eye chats at the bar or in the piazzetta.
The author takes us back to the Milan of the 1980s, still gray and frenetic and far from the cosmopolitan city it has become in recent years.
Alice, the protagonist, is a young girl without a father, mocked and almost bullied by her classmates, looking for a reason to live with dignity in such a difficult age, especially for those who spend it without a father beside them.
