Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
Una recensione breve molto breve per ricordarvi cose belle e finite ma mai dimenticate del glorioso 2 0 2 0.

Un gusto, o forse un retrogusto, amaro i series finale che contano devono lasciarlo.
Se questo non accade (e a volte non accade), allora qualcosa non ha funzionato.
Come descrivere, altrimenti, quella sensazione che un buon series finale ti lascia addosso, ti lascia sotto pelle, quando una serie tv termina il suo cammino.
Come può un series finale non lasciarci, anche solo per un minuto, una vena di tristezza addosso?
Se ci pensate, il finale di una serie tv, è un po' come un lutto.
Una persona smette di vivere, smette di esistere, e da quel momento in poi riaffiorano i ricordi.
La vita di quella persona continuerà ad esistere attraverso di noi, le nostre memorie, le nostre fotografie, i nostri racconti.
Se quella persona ha davvero significato qualcosa per noi, noi, statene certe, continueremo a farla vivere per sempre, fino a che anche noi non volteremo l'ultima pagina.
Virtualmente, e molto meno profondamente, anche una serie tv che conta compie lo stesso cammino.
Ci diverte, ci entusiasma, ci divide e poi ci saluta. Per sempre.
Se lungo il percorso essa ci ha davvero, divertito, entusisasmato, diviso, allora faticheremo a non celebrarla e ricordarla dopo l'estremo saluto.
E se quell'estremo saluto dovesse essere portentoso allora quel lutto sarà al contempo dolcissimo e soffertissimo.

A taste, or perhaps an aftertaste, bitter the final series that matter must leave it.
If that doesn't happen (and sometimes it doesn't), then something didn't work.
How else can we describe that feeling that a good series finale leaves on you, leaves you under the skin, when a TV series ends its journey.
How can a series finale not leave us, even if only for a minute, with a streak of sadness?
If you think about it, the ending of a TV series is a bit like a mourning.
A person stops living, stops existing, and from that moment on, memories resurface.
That person's life will continue to exist through us, our memories, our photographs, our stories.
If that person truly meant something to us, we, rest assured, will continue to let that person live forever, until we too turn the last page.
Virtually, and much less deeply, a TV series that matters also takes the same path.
It entertains us, excites us, divides us, and then says goodbye. Forever.
If along the way it has really entertained, enthralled, divided us, then we will struggle not to celebrate and remember it after the final goodbye.
And if that final farewell should be portentous, then that mourning will be both very sweet and very painful.
