The next-generation planet hunter TESS, with NASA's Kepler-like working principles, is being sent away soon. TESS, which has been tested and sent to Kennedy Space Center for departure preparations, will be sent on April 16, 2018 with a Falcon 9 rocket to 240,000 km altitude.
The exploration tool, which will complete an orange around the earth in 13.7 days, will be used to explore planets closer to the Solar System than the Kepler telescope.
It is expected that the vehicle, which has left behind the development process for a long time, will make important discoveries. Scientists estimate that the car will observe 200,000 stars in the first two years.
